I usually take a little time between my postings to read other blogs about writing and this one definitely caught my eye. Actually, it was the title that drew me to the site in the first place. Why on earth would a writing site be telling you to read really bad material, instead of reading the classics or novels by well established writers?
Head over to **Advice to Writers. John Winokour scours the web for quotes by famous writers and this particular quote by Edward Albee really made me think. I think that I will curl up (we are headed to Florida as I type this) and I'm going to buy the first novel that interests me... probably a Christmas novel, and then try to analyze the author's strong points, and his weak points!
